What this policy covers

This policy covers the lasvegasplumbing.org website and the information you choose to give us through it. It does not cover other websites we link to, including the water district, government and manufacturer pages we cite in our guides. Those sites have their own policies and we do not control them.

If you contact us by phone instead of through this site, the information you give us on that call is handled the same way as information submitted through the form.

Information we collect

We collect the information you type into the service request form: your name, your phone number, the area of the valley you are in, and your description of the problem. We also record which page the form was submitted from, because knowing whether somebody was reading about water heaters or slab leaks helps us respond usefully.

The form includes two automated spam checks: a hidden field that only automated scripts fill in, and a record of how long the form took to complete. Neither collects anything about you personally.

We do not ask for payment details, government identification, or any health information through this website, and you should never send those to us through a web form.

How we use it

We use what you submit to respond to your request: to contact you about the problem you described, to ask the questions we need to ask before quoting, and to arrange a visit if you want one.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or pass it to third parties for their own marketing.

We may share it with service providers who help us operate, such as the system that delivers form submissions to us. Those providers process information on our behalf and are not free to use it for their own purposes.

Analytics and tracking on this site

This website does not currently load any analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. There is no Google Analytics tag, no advertising pixel and no third party tracker on these pages.

If that changes, this policy will be updated before the tracking goes live, and this section will name what has been added and what it does.

The site does use your browser local storage only where needed to make a page work. It does not use cookies to build an advertising profile of you.

How long we keep it

We keep service request information for as long as we need it to respond to your enquiry and to maintain a record of work we have quoted or carried out. Business records relating to completed work may be retained longer where that is required for tax, warranty or legal reasons.

You can ask us to delete information we hold about you, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.

Your choices

You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time, and we will stop.

Nevada law gives residents the right to tell businesses not to sell their personal information. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you are welcome to submit a request and we will confirm that in writing.

Children

This website is intended for adults arranging plumbing work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes, such as adding tracking or changing who we share information with, will be described rather than made quietly.

A note on this document

This policy describes what this website actually does today. It has not been reviewed by an attorney licensed in Nevada, and it should be before this site serves the public. We would rather say that than imply a review that has not happened.
